Duncan McRae chanter

The MacRae Pipe Chanter has been in development for some time, with Stuart Liddell, MBE playing it for solo performances over the last couple of years. There is an African Blackwood model for solos and a plastic version for solos or band work.

Says master piper Stuart Liddell: 

I have been playing the chanter for some time now and it just needed a few tweaks to get it exactly how I wanted it.

I'm delighted how it's turned out, with a stable piobaireachd high G and solid F, and vitally, it suits a wide range of reeds. I was determined to make it a comfortable chanter to play with a relaxed hand position and spacing, vital for all pipers.

The pitch is bright and suitable for today's solo and pipe band world. I really hope you enjoy playing it.
